Meet the Team

Helming the King British shop is Sue Huggett. Sue co-ordinates everyone, ensures everyone is happy in their work and that the customer is truly wowed by the service provided. Below you will find a bit of background information about the great little set up we have at King British and the many experts we are proud to employ. King British was acquired by Beaphar UK in 2007. Both the Beaphar and King British Sales teams were merged and in doing so became the biggest sales force in the pet market, for the UK.

A key member of our team that we couldn’t live without is Michelle Hailes, who has worked in the Technical Department for nearly 6 years. Michelle has a degree in Marine and Freshwater Biology and is now our very own fish expert, “Aquatic Biologist” to be precise. Amongst her many roles, she is heavily involved in quality control (something we pride ourselves on) together with assisting in designing new products to meet fish keepers needs, keep them smiling and their fish healthy. Michelle has that rare talent of understanding technical wizardry and converting it into the more commercial magic so that we all understand!

We are also very proud to have a Training Officer that looks after retailers training needs in turn helping to educate the fish keeper on the many benefits of King British products. Jane Austin, who is a very loyal serving member of the team, visits retailers and with her enthusiastic personality and bundles of experience conducts in-store training. Jane is that rare breed of human being that really makes you want to listen and take in what she has to say.
